Everything from one source
Our cheese specialities are 100 per cent made in Northern Germany. We process raw materials from the region and run the whole production chain from production, manufacture and packaging at our dairy plants in Aurich and Wismar. Short distances, high transparency, everything from a single source – this is how we guarantee our quality standards. Sustainability also plays a key role for us. Most of our packaging is 100% recyclable. Our energy management is certified according to ISO 50001:2018 and is regularly improved.

To guarantee the high quality of our products, we control everything according to a strictly regulated system. RÜCKER works according to the established German and international quality standards in the dairy industry, including among others IFS Broker Version 3,2019 (Higher Level),
IFS Food Version 6.1, November 2017 and the international labour law standard SMETA 4 Pillars. Our products are also halal (Halal Control) and certified according to the Malaysian halal standard. We also supply selected products kosher. We regularly have our quality standards assessed by external auditors without notice, we are successfully certified time and again.

Like Edam, Tilsit is a typical Nordic semi-hard cheese which is popular across Europe today. The taste is slightly bitterer than that of Edam, the dough is firm but still supple. Features: pale yellow dough with many little holes. Traditionally it is rubbed with red cultures and matured like our varieties Old Mecklenburg and Coast Original. We do however also offer it matured without red cultures. Ideally suited for the breakfast buffet of your customers. Also perfect for further processing.
