Tilsit, our original product evolved for today
Like Edam, Tilsit is a typical Nordic semi-hard cheese which is popular across Europe today. The taste is slightly bitterer than that of Edam, the dough is firm but still supple. Features: pale yellow dough with many little holes. Traditionally it is rubbed with red cultures and matured like our varieties Old Mecklenburg and Coast Original. We do however also offer it matured without red cultures. Ideally suited for the breakfast buffet of your customers. Also perfect for further processing.
